I just received new mouth adjustment screw/stop for my low angle smooth plane.They stated in the letter that some were made to short,hence the replacement.I never contacted them about this problem,they took it upon themselves to send out these replacement parts.
How many companies do this today? It’s just another reason why we should all support Lee Valley.

I think so highly of the Lee Valley range of products and service I import thier products into Australia for my personal use. I have never had a problem and have always received what I ordered on time.

I worked for Lee Valley for a few months back in 2003. They treat their staff just as well as they do their customers. I've been buying LV products for over 20 years, and I'll keep it up until I run out of money! Leonard Lee is a true gentleman with a great sense of ethics, and it seems that Robin Lee is cut from the same cloth.
I now work in the hardware section of the big orange box just down the street from my house. It's 2 minutes to work as opposed to the 30 minutes it took to get to LV's facility. I also save money because HD doesn't give a discount to employees. LV's employee discount was very good, and I was going broke saving money. I might just as well signed my check over to them!
Good products, good people and they really care about customer service!
