We sent the apprentice out for a left handed screwdriver once. He had some trouble finding one.

Read somewhere about an apprentice got sent out for a skyhook or a bucket of steam or some such thing. He just went down to the bar, spent the rest of the day drinking beer and shooting pool on company time.
True story.
We extended our house 18 months ago. Father & son gyprock company (I think US term is drywall) contracted by our builder to put in the wall sheeting. Father was a real stirrer, and continually played practical jokes on all workmates, looking for cans of striped paint, etc...
Ceiling sheets were difficult to hang 14' in the air, builder mentioned that skyhooks would be necessary to hang ceiling sheets. Son went to father and asked for a skyhook, father then rang his hire company and ordered one. With the building trade being the way it is, they haven't lived it down yet.
Cheers, eddie
I would like to add, left handed screwdrivers are for right handed people too. When you are undoing a screw you need a left handed screwdriver because you are turning to the left., When installing a screw you need a right handed on because you are truing to the right. Had to say this.

Is this conversation heading in the direction of why I cant use a shovel; well I'll be happy to tell ya; no matter how hard I look I just havn't been able to find the key, Ha Ha Ha OOOOOOOOHHHHHH I better not say that to loud becouse When I was younger I used to work in a factory one nite a new hirey told the forman that very thing only it was with a broom so the next nite when the forman came to work he had a.........you guessed it he brought a broom that he drilled a little hole in and epoxied a small pataloc key in. I'm not sure how long that broom was around but I know when I left it was still there I've talked to peolpe that work there as little as 5 years ago and they told me it leaned in the corner of the shop managers office with a note on it that someone taped to it the note read "IF YOU CANT FIND THE KEY YOUR NOT LOOKING HARD ENOUGH AND IF YOU STILL CANT FIND IT I'LL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SHOW YOU THEN I'LL INTRODUCE YOU TO THE DOOR.......SIGHNED;MANAGEMENT
If your wondering if the guy that started the whole thing got fired the answer is NO he was one of the higher up's kids straight out of high school. The last I heard (from the guy who told me about the shovel in the corner)the little smart A_ _ made it all the way up front and now he's considered a higher up.......Isn't it funny how life works ?????????????????????????????????????????
Happy Holidays from all of us at the "PUTTERIN YANKEE"woodworking shop

P.S I HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE USING THIS KEYBOARD TO WRIT THIS I THINK I MAY NEED A LEFT HANDED ONE.......Ha Ha Ha......just joking ......I.d go back out and work on my latest project but I'll be darned if I can find my left handed chisels......Ha Ha Ha still joking............SORRY I'LL GO NOW........
If you're serious, I suggest you find your local supplier of left handed scissors (that is scissors for left handed people) and ask who their supplier is. I kid you not left handed scissors do exist.
Failing that, a call to NASA should help. I hear that with the Federal equal opportunity and minority policies the agency must now train and employ left handed people to build the space station. This has required NASA to commission a supply of left-handed hammers, spanners, screw drivers, impact wrenches, etc.
