Any comments, good or bad, about this Leigh Jig/ system.<!—-> <!—->

Several years ago I bought a Leigh Dovetail Jig, used it once, and the sold it. Thought I wanted to do dovetail drawers. Decided lock joint I use was good enough and a lot quicker. Anyway, I do a lot of mortise and tenon joinery. Face frames, doors, miscellaneous furniture etc.. <!—->

I’ve watched David Marks on DIY with his magical multi-router, but the price tag on that is over $2600.00. I’m not a production shop, but would like to get away from hand-held router, table saw and occasional hollow chisel mortiser to something more accurate and easier to set up to duplicate previous setups. Is it worth the $800 + price tag? Easy to use? Set up? Anything else?
TIA

I have had a FMT for almost a year now and really like it. I think it is much easier to use than the D4 and the dust collection works pretty well. It was easy to set up but I would recommend dedicating a router to it if you can so you won't have to recenter the router shaft to the baseplate every time. My first project with this was a pair of hexagonal tables each with 42 small M&T joints and none of them were at right angles in every axis. It worked great and made short work of the job. Attached is a picture of one of the tables patterned after a Yeung Chan design.
Thanks. I have not found one negative comment about the Leigh FMT. Decided to order from Highland. I think they had the best price at $749.99. Thanks again.
