I just recieved my new Leigh mortise and tenon jig and am trying to mount my FINE 1800 Plunge router to the sub base. There are no holes in the sub base that line up with the holes of the router base and Leigh,s screws wont work for sure. How can I line up the holes of the router base with Leigh,s sub base so that I can drill new holes in the sub base?Anyone have a suggestion?

Make up a circular jig from 1/4" hardboard or ply the same diameter as the bit hole in the sub-base with a 1/4" hole in the exact center. Perhaps cut it with a fly cutter and a 1/4" pilot.
Fasten a 1/4x20 bolt with a nut and chuck it LIGHTLY into the router collet so the threads don't damage the collet. Use this to locate the sub-base hole centered on the collet.
With pointed screws temporarily placed in the router base mounting holes, give the sub-base a light rap over each screw, thus marking the screw hole drilling location.
Once you have used the jig, please post your experiences and opinions about this facinating new, and very expensive, jig from Leigh. I'd really like to know if it's worth the money.
