In the mail today…a promo for a mortise and tenon jig from Leigh Tools. It’s a router based jig that uses insert collets in an aluminum stand to cut “perfect” mortises and tenons. Have not seen a review or discussions of it.
Anyone use, like it or is it just another outrageously priced hunk of finely machine metal that requires more set up time that doing the whole job with a square, chisel and mallet?

Seth...
I got the same flyer a couple of days ago and the jig is very interesting to say the least! Not sure I could handle those "match-stick" m&t's though (smiles).
I've had the D4 for a couple of years and it's a real dandy jig and dead on accurate and very well built. I would assume the M & T jig is of the same quality coming from Leigh.... However that $800 price tag is way out of my pocket book range! Maybe in a few years I'll get lucky as I did with the D4 and find someone that buys all the newest tools and then finds that for what ever reason they are unable to use the jig and sell for half the price of new!!!
One can only hope..
