I am away from my tools right now but still planning an upcoming project while at my real job.
Does anyone know what the length of a number 0 biscuit slot is? I need to join rails and stiles that I think are going to be 1 and 3/4 wide. If this doesn’t work, I guess I might go to a doweling jig.
Thanks for the help.

I asked myself those same kind of questions so many times I finally made a sample stick with all the biscuit sizes my PC 557 makes then resawed it right through the biscuit slots so I can also easily see each type's depth. I've got to split right now to take the mutt out for her walk and potty break - she's already giving me the "I gotta go now" look, but will measure the #0 slot when I get back. Give me an hour or so and I'll have an answer for you.
Waddaya mean it wont fit through the door?
The 0 biscuits take a 2" slot. FF biscuits take a 1 3/8" slot but require a different cutter.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
OK - back now. Here's what I've got - 2-1/8" wide and the cut is 5/16" deep. That's slightly different than Hammer's 2" - maybe the difference between a PC 557 and something else?

I like the idea of making a cut in a scrap board for each size. I'm going to do it tomorrow.
I has come in pretty handy. I've got the centerline and the end-point lines for the slot length drawn across the scrap as well as the length and depth measurements and biscuit size written on it. In practice I don't end up needing the actual measurements all that much. I just hold the stick alongside where I want to locate a biscuit on a project then transfer the centerline from the stick to the part. Just leave the height setting the same for all the slots you cut, then resaw it to leave half the slot. Works pretty good.Waddaya mean it wont fit through the door?
