Besides all the critique, I have no problems with the 1/2″ blade that came with my 17″ Grizz bandsaw. Cut marks are average, no lead and it still works after using it quite a bit, including MDF. It’s time to get a spare though.
Based on the performance of my 1″ Lenox carbide blade, used for straight ripping and resaw, I’m looking at a Lenox Bi-metal 1/2″ blade (Diemaster 2, 6 hook). At $35, they advertise 10 x carbon steel life.
Anyone used these, are they any good?

I'm now using the Diemaster 2 in my school metals shop. We use it to cut everything from square tube to annealed tool steel. On top of that the "users" are mostly first timers. So far, so good and I'll never go back to carbon. I can't even imagine how long one of these blades would last if used for wood.
