So, next week I’m having my house tented for termites. Where I am it’s necessary to do that every 8 to 10 years so of course it’s been 12 years since I had it done! It represents a huge amount of work. All food out, house plants out. I’ll roll the refrigerator out into the yard for example. It’s a gas and is supposed to not adhere or remain after it’s cleared but do I believe that or do I get squeamish and take things like beds out? Pots, pans, dishes? Then we go somewhere and hide for a couple of days. This is where the vote comes in…
Do you think I should empty all my sheds and bring all of my stored lumber into the house for the event? This represents an enormous additional amount of work! Yay or nay? I will abide by your decision but my wife of course has veto power.

Park a U-haul outside for the beds and upholstered furniture, wash the dishes.
Ask how much extra to tent the sheds... I would not bring the termites from the sheds into the house, and the termites out there will be waiting when you move the lumber back out.
Sheds are more and more is more. It's already alot! You kill the termites and then in the fall termites swarm and move straight back in. It takes a few years before they reach critical mass ( eat your house at $10000 a year) and then you do it again. I boracare the sheds , everything is exposed ,it almost works. They can have the sheds anyway it's the wood in them that matters.
Sounds like a horror movie. Is there a real benefit to the labor of moving the lumber? If you're just digging holes at low tide what's the point?
Clams? I take that as one "nay".
No....holes that fill themselves in, wasted effort.
Suddenly, the occasional black widow or hobo spider don't seem so bad...
Tent the shed and don't let Heisenberg in..
I am so glad I live where termites aren't...
