I just got my first Lie-Nielson No. 5 Jack Plane today. I just got a cast on my broken right hand a week ago, making it impossible to use right handed. It feels great in my left hand. I guess I’ll have to learn left handed for now. I can feel a severe hand tool addiction coming on. I also bought their Independance Dovetail Saw. Beautifully made tools. They were expensive, but I feel I got what I paid for. That’s all that matters to me. Have a good one..John E. Nanasy.

I think you will like the Independance saw, SOO much better than anything I have tried..I have yet to get a LN plane.. I am saving up for a 4-1/2 I think.
Take a close look a lee valley's too
I also received my first Li-Nielsen plane just last week. It is a low-angle jack plane. I hope to hone the blade tomorrow and then give it a good try on some hard jarrah wood. Now I just need another 12 Lie-Nielsen planes... Pieter
