I have tried without success to find a light attachment for a router where the light actually illuminates where the router bit is working. Since the bit operates inside the router housing, I am constantly trying to reposition lights so I can see the line I want to follow during free handed routing. I know my eyes aren’t what they used to be, but I constantly seem to be working in the dark. There must be tools out there that address this persistent problem. Suggestions?

Hey Peach,
A small inventor-company called Micro-Fence recently came out with a very high-end precision base for a trim router. It included a really cool LED light that illuminates the cutting area when router. I just checked out their web site and it looks like they sell these lights a la carte. It's worth a look.

Home Depot sells a new Ridgid router that has an LED built in above the router bit in the base to illuminate your work area. Might be worth looking into.
