Ok as i have said else where i have a Delta Unisaw left tilt 220v. It has 3 belts on it and i am thinking of replacing them with Link Belts. The question is will this help all that much?
Issue i have are that when first turned on this thing goes “Bang” and kind of twitches (yes i have checked for slipage in the belt and the bully and the alingment) and also thier is a bit of a vibration when it is running.
So will this help with either of these issues?
Also what amount of the belt do i need? I asked at the local Woodcraft store and they told me to figure out how much i need and they will sell it to my by the foot. This seamed odd as i would have expected they could tell me how much was needed for this pretty much standard saw. (IF they had i think it would have been a stocking stuffer for my father for xmass) Instead they seam to think i should take the saw apart and figure it out for myself (great salesmanship that)

You will need 7' of link belt and have about 1/2' extra. The original Unisaw belts are 26" in diameter. If you use 35 links per belt it will be very close to 26". Install them tight when you first install them as the stretch because of a link every 3/4". After they run for awhile adjust them a little looser, sort of egg shape when running.

Thanks for the info, Now the big question do they make the saw any better?

IMHO YES!!!
I should add that I used link belts for many years on my Unisaw and before it was retired I only used the 2 outer belts with no problem. I now have a Hammer B3 saw/shaper. I would use all three if you do a lot of ripping thick wood, otherwise 2 belts should be fine. I might have enough link belt material for 2 belts (52") as I bought 25' and put link belts on everything that I could. If you are interested let me know by email.
