I have a Delta 36-682 contractor saw and would like to upgrade to the link belt instead of the current v belt. I would like to ask if any of you more experienced woodworkers would recommend also changing the pulleys. I don’t have a terrible vibration problem, but I want to ensure it remains that way. Thanks ffor any and all suggestions. I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.

My pulley are steel, so I did not change them.

If your pulleys are machined rather than stamped there is no need to change them. Be aware that link belts stretch continually. I had to switch back after about 18 months of removing links to shorten the belt. They also tend to slip more. The cogged belts (notches on the inside) are almost as good as link belts in reducing vibration, provide more torque, and do not stretch.
The only belt that I can think of that would be better than cog belts are the flat serpentine type belts used on modern autos. Unfortunately I have yet to find a source for either the pulleys or the belts in the lengths that I need. Someday...

I had to change my pulleys on a General, because they were to narrow, and then used LinkBelt, everything works fine, no vibration.
