Does anyone have a source for liquid hide glue? I’m looking for gallon quantities. The normal catalog sources (Woodcraft, Rockler…) have pints and smaller. Their typical price per pint, extrapolated up to gallon quantities, yields nearly $80. Then shipping to me would make it nearly a hundred. That’s way too much. I know that I could do the dissolve dry hide glue thing and add urea or even p into it. That’s a good way if someone has a nice formula that’s other than: take a handful of this, add a cup of water till it looks runny, and add some stuff like this….. or so.
Thanks for any help.

Titebond carries it up to pints, then jumps to 5 gal.

I suggest you go to: http://www.deller.com/newpage8.htm , I' ve used these directions for a number of years. There are other sites you can finde through various search engines, but this has been best for me.
Much thanks to you and to hammer....
