Hello Iv just made two log slice candle holders for metal based tea lights to be placed sunk in the middle of the slices . Iv dabbed over the bark with tung oil but not touched the top of slice as of yet .
i was wondering once the tung oil is dried would a polyurethane finish be ok to finish off the project round the bark for durability purposes and would I be able to coat the top of the slice or would that increase a fire risk ? And I should actually leave the top part unfinished.
