Looking 4 input on Grizzly knife grinder
Anybody here have any experience with this grinder (I’m sure this model is sold under several names)?

I’ve never seen a grinder quite like this & would llike to know if it’s as handy as it looks. Foley-Belsaw sells the same grinder–at MUCH higher price, of course!

I've used the Griz grinder in a friends shop. I was pleased with the results. I found set up to be a little fussy. I had to make sure that I began with a VERY light cut and raised the stone in very small increments. If you don't watch this, the leading edge of the knife gets rounded off and you then have to grind the whole length of the blade to match. By the time you have it right you may have ground off a lot more steel that was needed for just sharpening.
In my area the cost of sharpening a half dozen sets of planer or joiner knives will pay for the Grizley and the time spent sharpening is no more than the time spent driving to a sharpening shop.
