What is the slickest, slowest setting glue available? I have an unusual clamping situation where the two pieces have to slide together along a tounge and groove for about 2 feet.

Not easy
All I can think of is Franklin's Liquid Hide Glue, and even that you would need to slop really thick and hope the pieces don't swell and seize up before the 2 feet. It is slow setting and slippery, but it is also rather viscous, and might be too stiff for the full length, especially if the pieces are thin.
Is there any way to change assembly or design to avoid the 2 foot slide? It seems like it is asking for trouble.
Hide Glue
Thanks
The way that is traditionally used to avoid this problem is to taper both the groove and the tong so they don't get snug until the last couple of inches.
Slow setting glue.
I'll try this on a test piece. Thanks for the reply.
