Over the last few months I was looking through my tool catalogues and began to think that the current selection of router bits could use some new and fresh designs. as of today I have designed over 40 bits that can be used for casings, baseboards and chair rail moldings. I have asked a few router bit companies such as MLCS, Freud, Pentair (Delta & Porter-Cable), Sommerfeld Tools (CMT), Infinity, and Magnate. MLCS has been extremely open to my designs and already have several being produced. check out their June catalogue as some will be in it. MLCS has been very helpfull and still want more designs. Magnate has declined totally, I have yet to hear from the other companies. Could anyone suggest any other companies I could send my designs too? Do any of you want to see more router bit profiles on the market? I’m not doing this to profit in any way. My agreement with MLCS is that I get one free copy of every new design that they put into production. Not much too ask for and they agree. I’d love to hear any feedback on this idea.
