Hi All
Just thought I would ask if anybody lives in the North Yorkshire area that could do with a hand in there shop. I have just moved to the area, had some experience restoration and finishing, dont mind all the crappy jobs that come with it just want to gain a bit of experience from somebody with a bit more experience than myself.
Thanks for your time.

datadoodah, Try posting your question at The Woodworker site. It's a British magazine-- I'm sure you know that, that runs a website similar to this called something like GetWoodworking.com Unfortunately, it's rather quiet and it can be days before even one response to a question is generated.
Just down the road from you in Ee'bah'Gum land is John Boddies(sp?)-- timber merchant and tool supplier in Boroughbridge(sp?) where they run some classes, and they might have some leads on local workshops needing help. Also, you might consider contacting the people at GMC publications in Lewes that publish Furniture & Cabinetmaking-- they are actively trying to help British craftspeople with spare workshop space get together with those without workshop space if you get my drift.
Leeds College of Art (and Design?) run furniture making courses, and might have a lead or two as well, and don't forget that a bit up the road at Northumbria University there is also another design school.
Apart from me, there aren't too many Brits hang around this forum that I know of, so you're not likely to get much help, but the Brits IanDG, and teabag(?) drop in once in a while, and they may have some information. Slainte.
