I just moved to Knoxville, TN and am looking for a good source of hardwoods. Please let me know of any within a 100 mile radius. Bill Lindau

Bill, I bought a place in Rogersville, Sept. '05, and have trecked back and forth to Long Island NY several times to sell the NY house. I saw a large (at least two story) old building up my way when house hunting and my broker said that they had every fine wood you would ever want in there. I have been threatening to call him but have been too busy. You have now put it on the top of my list. I will call him soon and report in. It takes me 1 1/2 to 2 hrs from home to my buddy in Turkey Creek, I get off 40 at Cambell Station Road to get to his place.
I have picked up a few sticks of consignment wood from the back room in the Woodcraft store on the pike. See David the owner, a good businessman who I have bought some heavy equipment from at good prices. Don't expect discounts on the retail items. I have shopped in several of their stores and this one is well managed.
I think that there are mills locally that I need time to find once I move, probably more up by me in the mountains than by you. If you find any please let me know. Is there a woodworkers group in your area? All the best , Pat
Jeffries Lumber...look them up in the phone book.
