Hi, not necessarily a woodworking problem but I am struggling to find a jig/fixtures to hold my workpiece in place whilst also stop it from moving downwards when drilled into. The piece is rectangular and measures 500x1000x100mm so the fixtures need to be lower than 100mm to allow access to the top edges. Currently looking at an L shape for the corners with a base to stop the downward movement. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

I'm sorry but your post has left me scratching my head. What are you trying to do this workpiece, other than drill into it? I get the impression it's something a simple non-slip mat often used for sanding and routing operations could handle or maybe Rockler Bench Cookies which are incredibly handy in the shop. Without a better description of the operations you want to perform it's hard to help.
Sorry about the lack of info. This workpiece needs to be trimmed along the top edge and then drilled into and through. However we currently don't have anything solid to stop the piece from lowering due to the force from the drill. The fixtures we use currently are just metal blocks that hold the corners in place. My real question is do you know of any fixtures that would hold the corner in place as well as stop the piece from lowering in height. The cookies you suggested would be great but I was looking for something that was built into the corner fixtures so it is a more permanent solution.

Suggestion. It would be really useful for you to take a picture of the piece with your phone e.g., and upload it so readers have a clear idea of what you're talking about no? It's not even clear in your reply. The forums allow file up to 3 MB so shouldn't be a problem. Readers would be able to provide much more help more quickly...with an image.
I'm not sure what you mean. Why is the piece "lowering in height"? Why can't it sit on any solid surface while drilling to prevent it from moving downward?
Tardigrades can withstand 25000 atmospheres of pressure. So I would take a generous number of tardigrades and a couple of zelsnick pins and you should be good! Tardigrades can be found anywhere but you'll have to order the pins from Romania. Delivery might be difficult because as I understand it this is for the Space Station? Oh, Amazon can deliver there! They just added that service.
+1 on Tardigrades, I am not a fan of zelsnick pins except for left handed pins in an inverse application.
Perhaps in next months FWW end grain glue-up feature - Tardigrade end grain joinery could be added for contrast/comparision with standard glues.
