I am trying to repair some rosewood dining room chairs. The seat backs appear to be held to the sides by knock-down fasteners that are covered with tapered rosewood plugs, about 7/16″ diameter (max) and 1/4″ long. Does anyone know where I can buy replacement plugs?
Thanks for your help.

Rather than search for unobtanium, why not buy a plug cutter and make your own?
Plug and buttons are available from a variety of sources, usually in common hardwood species. Finding them in true Rosewood, however, might be a challenge akin to finding teeth from the chickasaurus rex. It might be easier to use Maple, and stain them to match.
