That sounds like the shop constructed by Matthew Teague. He details the process in his blog.
Here's a link to the pdf article describing the same:

Nope not the one I was looking for this was a stand alone building some one had built in there back yard not a garage. This will give me ideas though.
I'll bet it's this one: 37062.1

A Woodworkers mind should be the sharpest tool in the shop!
I think it was me. The windows are 4 by 7 and 4 by 6

It could have been my shop I will post the outside pic and if it is, let me know. Thanks Rick
There you go that is the shop post I was looking for.
Well Home, let me know if you would like more pics or any information on the shop. Rick
Where was the post on your shop I recall seeing quite a bit of info from your post. Thanks very much in advance and if I have more questions I will ask you if you do not mind. BILL
Home, the post number was 37877.1 that had all of the pictures, I searched under my nicname and found it. I will attach some pics to this response so Frank can see as well. Background, the slab is 20'x20' and the shop is 16x20. Insullated walls and windows and patio door. I saw no need for a roll-up door. Siding as you can see and I used 3/8 plywood instead of drywall. The heating and cooling supplied by a 230v LG through the wall unit 18Kbtu heat and 11K btu cooling. Have now had a chance to run the heat mode and have not seen a major spike in the electric bill. We have had some cold weather here in West TN and I kept it at 62* and it was fine. Even when it dipped into the teens. Found it at Home D for around $699. Four T-8 fixtues on the ceiling nad I added a ceiling fan. Windows are 3'x6' and none on the south wall. The door faces north. On a sunny day I don't even have to turn the lights on and thats what I wanted. It has been 6 months or so now since I moved in. Completed a couple of projects, and have one going now. I am not disappointed in anything nor the size, I think it is just right. It's not as clean as in the pics now :), clamp rack and other things have been hung on the wall. The clock in the background is done, I posted that here, and there is a new Delta dust collector in the corner. I do need to add gutters and a walk from the back patio. Let me know if you need anything else. Rick
What a delightful space, I like the natural light.
Thank You very much again, just kicking some ideas around aboout new shop, and liked some of the things you didto get the natural light in.
If the inside is half as nice as the outside it looks like you have a wonderful place to spend your time. It is beautiful!
