Looking for some good mills in Eastern/Central Pa, DE or MD.
Good Evening,
I am located in SE PA and am looking for good mills where I can pick up flitches or less of non KD wood. Primarily cherry, and walnut. I have room to season large amounts on my property and I would like to do just that.
Thanks.

I've yet to visit but Spacht sawmill sounds like it is worth looking into. Also, the owner authored an article in FW on air drying lumber a couple years back. (www.spachtsawmill.com)
Check out Hearne near Oxford, PA and Groff and Groff near Quarryville, PA

Hearn and Groff are my primary suppliers
I think I'm looking to get a step closer to the forest than them. I was just at hearne this weekend and took these pics of their band saw mill.
I will check out Spacht.
Price is a big consideration.
I've spoken to others who buy wood by the truckload, and after sorting, they end up with some great wood at .25% what I pay per board. Plus, after back to back projects with non-kd wood, I feel it is superior, and surprisingly, there's not a lot of it out there. I believe there is far less stress and usable wood in boards dried slowly.
