Hi,
Just signed in for the forum. Question, I am looking for a good afforadable cabinet table saw. I am interested in the Bridgewood BW 10TS . For a little less than $1000.00 it seems to be a pretty good deal. Have any of you used or own this saw? Also, I have been in a field for 16 years I do not like, airline industry. I have built houses in the past, but want to learn furniture making. At 55 not sure where to start, wood working is my love. Thanks for any input. Big Dummy , an affectionate nickname at work, believe it or not…smile

I am not familiar with Bridgewood tools but the cabinet saw looks similar to the Grizzly G1023. I have the latter and love it.

Thanks for your reply, I had really decided on the Grizzly, I could drive and pick it up. Every test I read talks about the tables on the Grizzly not being flat. I began to wonder about their quality control. Thanks for your input.
I never checked a tablesaws flatness but I can tell you that it makes no difference. If a saw table is really out of wack then you will have problems using jigs that slide in the miter gauge slot. I have used at least one saw ( 7 hp no name ) that dipped a full 1/16" from the miter slot to the edge of the table. This saw is about 50 years old and still running. There were no problems ripping or crosscutting .
The Grizzly is an excellent saw, at least as good as the Jet or Delta unisaw. The only homeowner size cabinet saw that I know is better is the Powermatic. Go for the Grizzly it is an excellent saw with outstanding customer service. You can save some money if you need more than the standard rails ( 26" rip I believe) , the long rails are 52" rip. I moved the rails to the right of the blade. Now I can rip up to 38" with standard rails, but cannot rip to the left of the blade. I do not recall ever ripping to the left anyhow.Grizzly even supplies you with the correct drill and tap, comes with the saw.
Good luck with your new saw

I have my Grizzly, but due to family health have not had a chance to get it set up. Am thinking of moving the rails to the right as you did, which brings up a couple of questions. Did you add support legs to the rails or is this necessary? Also did you build an extension table and if so what did you use. Thanks for all the valuable info.J
Yes I did add table legs to the extension. The extensions are cast iron grates from my old craftsmen saw.The table legs are just 2x4's . Add table legs so there is no chance saw can tip, extensions could be made from MDF, melamine, plywood etc.I used cast iron only because I had it laying around from the old saw.

Well, I made it to Springfield MO yesterday and picked up my Grizzly 1023. I went ahead and got the motor cover, dust port and a good blade, the Forrest Woodwoker II. I feel like a kid in a candy store. Can't wait until I get it set up and ready to go. Thanks for all the input. The people at Grizzly were so nice and from the time of purchase to loading was incredibly fast. Had a chance to visit with one of their own site woodworkers, a real thrill. Was a very good experience. Thanks for the input. Jerry
