My husband is a retired long time woodworker. He has a collection of boards he wants to sell that maybe the hobby woodworker might esp like. Can anyone tell me where would be the best place to post his info?

You can definitely post it on this forum.
I would list the type of wood (i.e., species), cut of lumber (i.e., flat, riff, quarter sawn) and how much board feet with average length and width. I am sure that someone in your area would love to give you a fair price.
Thank you so much!
Where you are would help .
Bedford, TX
My husband is a retired woodworker. We live in Bedford, Tx. He accumulated some lumber leftover from projects over the years, a lot is s4s, extras for projects he was working on. Some are just plain boards like from the lumber yard. Most of them are not shorts, they are still the length he bought them.
The species are
Spanish Cedar, Knotty Alder, Red Oak, Mahogany Base Mold, Cherry, Eastern Furniture Pine, Poplar, Soft Maple, Mahogany Molding, Red Oak Crown Molding, Maple, Walnut,
some dowels, some moldings.
There are some particular boards that I think someone who subscribes to Fine Woodworking would really love. My husband bought them when he was doing a cherry job and didn't use them. He thought the board could be divided into thirds and make a real pretty small table top.
One is one board 4/4 x 13 1/2 ft x 12ft, 13 bf in Figured Cherry $50.
and also 3 boards are milled 3/4 91/2ft, 18 bf+-, $25 each board, also Figured Cherry, haven't taken a photo of these yet, they are under the big cherry board.
Its all priced at 1/2 of what his supplier is currently charging.
Heres some more photos, the cherry in these photos is not the figured cherry.
If you want more info, please let me know, and I'll post it for you. Thanks so much.
I might suggest you consider selling it as a lot otherwise you may find yourself stuck with the less desirable material while the best boards are cherry picked. It will also save you the trouble of dealing with many different buyers.
Thanks, that's a good idea
I'd look for a local woodworkers club or guild and offer it for sale through them. They can be helpful because they're more likely to know what its worth, and many of them will be in the same boat someday.
