Band Saw Mill owners near NY City, I have a friend who is an arborist in the City who has to cut down trees around NYC. The last group of trees was along the Parkway. The trees were very old and very large diameter- 36″. Walnut, Cherry, Oak, Plane, Hickory are a few of the trees being cut down. These are now firewood rather than boards.
I hate to see these trees get cut up for firewood so I called several band saw suppliers to find out if anyone was interested in large logs…for the hauling. No one had the time or the space to store the boards from the trees.
Does anyone know of someone who could make use the these old trees? There are projects coming up that will have a LOT of trees to be cut down and removed. We can get the trees cut to any length and even get them hoisted on to a trailer to haul off if we coordinate the job.
Email me if you have the mill to get this done or the truck and trailer to haul the logs off.
