I’m trying to find some heavy duty shelving hardware, standards and supports, to use for storing dimensional lumber. I know I’ve seen some advertised online or in one of the many WW mags I get, but of course now that I’m looking for them I can’t seem to find anything. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? Thanks alot.

Grizzly has the cheapest racks...I mean the most inexpensive racks. Lee Valley and I believe Woodcraft have similar ones that are more pricey and a bit heavier rated. Just put a bunch of Grizzly ones in our mill shop and work great. Poor boy option is to use black pipe or heavy electrical conduit in doubled up 2 x 4's.

I have these: http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.asp?page=32144&category=1,43326&ccurrency=2&SID=
Got them at my local hardware store. They work great with one caveat... the 45ยบ supports eat up vertical space. Very sturdy brackets.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
Hate to say this but HD has the same as LV. The only thing is they don't carry them at all the stores. You might have to call around. They work well.

Lee Valley has a system designed for lumber: no supports to get in the way, incredibly strong, easy to adjust, and expensive.

I bought these over a decade ago, and have added a few brackets from time to time as needed. They are perfect for me.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I appreciate your help.
We started out with the Lee Valley ones and switched over to the Grizzly's. A lot cheaper and can be intermixed. I'm talking a commercial shop as well.
You can get all the parts for this lumber rack at HD, guaranteed. Don't know if it's cheaper, probably isn't as pretty, but it works!

PS: Way more lumber on it now than the first day up. Still attached to the wall....

I built my own, used 2x6 for the uprights, two on each one with 2x6 blocks in between. Cut the blocks with a 2-3 degree up slope, spaced for 2x4 that I rounded on the ends, stuck in the holes with a firm fit, most just tapped in. About 2' long.
I set them on treated 2x6' plat on the concrete floor, made plywood brackets to fasten to the wall at the top and bottom.
I spaced them 4' apart on one wall. I have a lot of lumber on them and the total cost was minimal.
Just an idea.
