All,
I am nearing completion of and entertainment center which the customer wants to have painted. The unit is made of birch plywood and poplar. The local cabinet supply house sells M.L. Campbell finishes. I need advice concerning how to go about finishing this product w/ the Campbell product. I would like to apply a smooth semi-gloss white finish.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Dlb,
Go see "lessions learned with enamel' in the Finishing section.

ML Campbell provides superior lacquer products for spraying. I am unfamilar with any brush on paints that they might carry, but if the quality is akin to their lacquer finish, it's good. But perhaps like their lacquer product, it can only be sprayed and not wiped or brushed. Google their web site for more information.
Thanks. I plan on spraying and I hope to use lacquer. I am just concerned about priming. I will check their web site.

The undisciplined life is not worth examining.
I spray M. L. Campbell's Magnamax which is a pre-cat lacquer It does not require a special sealer and gives an excellent finish. Art
