I’m trying to mak a crown molding with a 2″wide .3″ deep concave running the length. I am repared to use my compoungf miter saw and make the 480 cuts necessary – but I’d rather not. I don’t have access to a shaper. Any suggestions?

Why 480 cuts? Not sure if I understand your problem, but you could use the tablesaw to cut the coves without much problem I would think

The current issue of FWW has an article that shows how to create a crown type molding using a table saw.
