Well - you did ask.
It's a fun project, though the value of the pencils as writing implements is sufficiently low that you could have made them from wood and just painted in the cores.
Lousy video though - I watch woodwork videos for a few reasons -
1. To see how something is done, with a view to increasing my own skill set.
2. To get ideas.
3. To relax.
Although this video does share part of an idea, it adds very little to the skill set and is not relaxing to watch - just dull really.
It would have been better to show more time making one pencil and perhaps provided commentary, then shown the others as done deals.
Have a look at blacktail studios (makes epoxy tables) and Frank Howarth's channels to see how well this can be done.
Please keep going though and when you've learned a bit more about tubing, please post again - always looking for new content...
It's my first YouTube video. I know it's far from perfect but I still think I did better then many others.
If you would watch the first part since this is the second part you can see how I make one pencil.
Also the pencils are for a kid that's why I made them.
Not much there by way of woodworking, might have been interesting to see how you made the shafts. Melting crayons... not so much.
Watch part 1 for that.
