How can I make my joiner level? I have purchased a Powermatic Joiner that was in use at that time. I saw it work and some project made by it, and it worked perfect. I loaded it in the back of my truck and now it is not level. what do I do to check it or is just the way I am using it? Please answer both questions if you know the answer.
(1) How do I use a Joiner?
(2) If the Joiner is not level, How can I check it, and what can I check it with?
I ask this question before and can not find either the wuestion nor the answer now. I have looked in the advance search also.

Co-planar would be the term not, level doesn't apply in terminology.

I suggest you go to the above site and buy a of book on tuning the jointer and another on using the jointer. Plenty of articles have been published in the magazines on proper milling techniques.
Make sure you lift the jointer by the base and not the tables. You will need a decent straight edge at least 3/4's the length of the overall bed. Typically the outfeed table is shimmed on dovetailed ways types. You didn't mention what model you have. I would assume it's a dovetialed ways type and 6 or 8". You didn't mention how you know it's off, how much...actual number such as .025", etc is more informative than "a lot". What did you use to determine it's off? A machined straight edge and feeler gauges is the proper way.
I'd start off with calling the tech support at PM for a manual. Good luck and do lots of reading. No new questions only new people asking old questions. If you couldn't find it here you should try other forums or a google search. The subject has been covered pretty well over the years. There's only about 25 wood forums out there and more coming.

What problem are you having with it? Your post hints at several possible problems.
There's a jointer tuning article at:
