We are building a chest on chest dresser and a lingerie chest for one of our daughters. We used red oak, the drawer sides are poplar and the drawer bottoms are baltic birch ply. The plans came from Woodsmith magazine. Lingerie and the Chest On Chest This was our first attempt at dove tails. We used a small PC jig. The pieces will be stained with Walnut, since our daughter wants it dark.
Thanks for looking

Nice job! The gift should be well recieved. Now take a few scraps and play around with back-saw and chisels, on making "old fashioned "dove-tails.

Nice job, I like the proportions. Post some more pictures when they are finished.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Very nice workmanship. Do you plan to test different stains on scrap before final staining and finishing, because that step should have your "client's" OK before going ahead. I've seen great pieces (grandfather clocks, for instance) where the color and finish meant more than the clocks did. Just a thought. . .
Yes we did a few test stains. Our daughter finally picked one yesterday. Not my first choice, <grin> but it is her dresser
