   If you're speaking of jigs and fixtures . . . the first book I bought addressing this subject was "Making Jigs and Fixtures" by Nick Engler.  It provides some general guidance and principles, as well as specific plans and materials lists.  Runs about $20 new.

   Nicks book is good, I also have a copy that is always within arm reach. FWW zine usually has at least one jig or fixture in every issue and a subscription to ShopNotes is also a worthwhile investment.

   Hiya Steve, :-))  There's another one I saw last night, by DeCristoforo, titled The Jigs and Fixtures Bible.  Since I was specifically looking for the new book on Planers and Jointers, I didn't stop to examine it, but I've found his other books very, very helpful.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl   ;-)

   Look out, the other passengers will tie you to your seat! LOL!  People must be getting ready for the 4th.  This thread hasn't had much activity yet (surely, the other members read books, don't they?)
