I recently mounted a Delta Unisaw dust connector (cat. no. 50-243) to my Makita 2040 planer. It works great, and required nothing more than drilling 3 mounting holes in the Makita chip cover. I have included two pictures for clarity. I had to use a 5-inch to 4-inch reducer to match my DC hose. I planed about 80 BF of walnut with less than a cup of chips left on the floor.
