Makita planer adjustment for parallel

I have a Makita 2012 planer (original model). This has been a great machine and continues to work well, but the bed is slightly out of parallel with the cutterhead. This is only noticeable when planing wide boards, and one cog of adjustment on the chain driving the bed support screws is way too much. Does anyone know of an easy way to fine-tune the bed to be parallel with the cutterhead?

I don't know the cure but I have the same problem with my 22-580 Delta.I look forward for someone to enlighten us-tyford
