I built a router table/cabinet and equipped it with Mast-R stuff.
Yesterday, I opened the router chamber and saw a screw that had come lose and off the lift. It turned out to be one of the two screws that secure the lift adjustment mechanism. I put it back and noticed that if I tightened it more than a firm hand tightening, the lift adjustment screw was difficult to turn. Tightening it with an allen wrench was out of the question.
I got out the manual and that particular set of screws was not mentioned. I then assumed that it was not intended to be wrench tightened. I proceeded to do some work and by the end of that particular work, I looked in the router chamber and the same screw had come out and was laying on the floor.
I had a new and very sharp Whiteside bit which did not cause any noticable vibration. What am I missing?
I’m attaching a pic of the Router table.

I'm not impressed with the company. I maintain the tools of a school and have had to work on their Master Lift a few times. I called the company for a parts breakdown and they had nothing. I had to replace a couple of the cogged pulleys and it was easier to get new belts and pulleys from McMaster than talk to them. I had to make a few modifications and it improved the table so I don't have to fix it any more.
Rick, Thanks for your reply. Mine has worked like a dream until this. I will confess, however, The rascal does not have many "hours" on it yet.
Sorry for the late reply.
I have no idea what you have BUT you mentioned a screw falling out.
I was in service for BIG machines all my life and LocTite is wonderful stuff. Just make SURE you get the Removable Strength!

Will, that is a great suggestion. I have a call into Jessum and they have yet to call me back. Today, I called and told them that I was told that an employee named Dan would call but has not. I was told again that he would call in 15 minutes. That call did not come.
I am going to call again tomorrow and start to get a little firm about their service. I want to hear their answer and if I'm not satisfied, I will get some ot the removable strength Loc-Tite. Heck, I will get it anyway. I bet if I have some around, I will find myself using it a lot.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
