I have done most of my work with a razor knife, but I’d like to try out a veneer saw. What brand would you recommend, the Gramercy saw is expensive, I see there is a Two Cherries, Pax and even Kunz. Any of these other brands work or others I am not aware of? I’d like to keep it to under $50. I know they will need some sharpening out of the box. Thanks

I have the grammercy and it does the job, has zero flex and has the best grip arrangement I've tried. As you say it is pricey.... buy once, cry once.

Take a look at this one and I suggest getting it pre-sharpened, I've been very satisfied with it.
