Hi All,
Does anyone out there have plans for a memorial flag box? A close relative (and former Airman and Police Officer) recently passed on and I’ll be creating a display box for his memorial flag. In lieu of plans, if you could share with me the dimensions of a folded memorial flag that would also be great.
Thanks,
Kevin

Kevink ,
Here on this site in the gallery I saw a beautiful flag display box . It was a triangle shape and simple but nice . Sorry I don't have the dimensions handy , try a google search on U.S. folded flag dimensions or the likes .

The dimensions folded depend somewhat on the size of the flag. Any flag can be a memorial flag. The flag is folded 13 times.
Thanks for your response. The flag was presented at a National Cemetary. I'm working under the assumption that there is a standard sized memorial flag given at such events.
Here is a chart of the sizes of flags government agencies are authorized to purchase. The 5'x9.5' would seem to be the best fit for a full size casket. It also seems to be the largest size accomodated by the majority of flag cases on the market.

paste the above link to get a plan from Wood Magazine
they ran the article in the past year if you know anyone who subscribes.
The plan is $6 but it is stunning.
The plan is for a 5 x 9 flag.
