Where do you get the metal seal strips they use to seal the lids for cedar chests?

It would be the same stuff as weather stripping. Some good sources in Fine Home Building mag or try a google search using the term weather stripping
My wife had a Cedar HOPE God bless her.. I still have it..
The lid is sealed in brass strips (both sides of the tongue) as if weather strippind a door..
Damn I miss her ALOT!

Thanks.. I do every night.. BUT she was mad at me fer something I did when she died.. Not really.. She was my sweetheart.. We met in Kindergarden! I slep t on the blanket next to her... She slept with her dress over her head,, God I loved that woman!

Don't forget that children sometimes climb into chests. So you either have to keep it locked, or make it so it is not self latching so the lid can open from the inside with a push.
Excellent point, Wayne.
