I have been searching for metric router bits with 1/8″ shafts, obviously for inlay work…does anyone know of a source for these?

I seem to remember metric end mills in small sizes, but I no longer have the catalog. I think the company was named something like MCLS or MLSC. J&L Industrial Supply has miniature end mills in .005" increments starting at .010" through at least .055, and then in fractional sizes by 1/64" up 1/8". Given that range, you should be able to find something that will work. Their web address is http://www.jandlindustrial.com. They have branches in many large cities. These are solid carbide, and cut very well.

Do a search on google.com
Have you tried the links page on this site? A lot of the things people are looking for are just a few clicks away.
Here's the link for the MLCS site:

If you're wanting 1/8" shafts, you must be working with a Dremel or othe rotary tool, yes? Or did you mean 1/4" shafts?

Look at http://www.trendmachinery.co.uk they have a lot of metric, imperial and mixes of the two.
