Where can I purchase a Starret carbon steel 1 ⁄2-in.-wide, 3-tpi, skip-tooth blade that Michael recommends? I need 93.5 inch for a 14 inch Delta bandsaw.
Thanks

Woodcraft sells Starrett bandsaw blades. Good luck
I just got their flyer in the mail yesterday, and Starrett bandsaw blades are 20% off starting Sept 1
My favorite blade for resawing is the 1/2" Woodslicer from Highland. But the Starrett version isn't far behind. I always get mine from Woodcraft, and they are reasonably priced.
Are there any opinions about the Timber Wolf brand of bandsaw blades?
They are highly thought of. I think they're fine, but a little on the pricey end. I find the Starretts at least as good, and cheaper, at least the last time I compared them. Who knows, the way thi go are these days.
You can pretty much get any custom made blade from R & D bandsaws . https://tufftooth.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/webcatalogue2018.pdf
Thanks for the resourse Gulfstar. Have you bought their silicon "3X" blades?
Yes, I have tried most of them, I do a lot of resawing and they perform as advertised. I especially liked the furniture band, it’s thick and has a wide kerf and cuts my turning blanks from logs up to 14 inches without effort and binding .
FWIIW I buy no-brand carbon steel blades in a variety of pitches and widths. They are made to my size by a local blade service and for most cost as little as NZD35 (USD 25 ish) They buy a huge roll of saw blade and weld up blades to order so you can get any size.
I find that I get really good results if (and only if) the saw is set up perfectly. That is far more important than the type or brand of blade.
Once I got one with a slightly imperfect weld that caused ticking so I just kept that blade for rough stuff and garden work. At the price I pay it's not worth my time to complain and I can afford to experiment.
I tried an Infinity blade. Don’t know who makes them but it’s outlasted a woodslicer for sure.
Thanks for the help.
