Millers Falls Ratcheting Screwdriver
This is also known as a Yankee Screwdriver. Does anyone know where I can have one of these fixed or be able to get a schematic of the same.
Thanks,
Roger Beckermeyer

i have some old trade catalogs (mf, stanley, goodell-pratt) with some exploded diagrams. what exactly needs to be repaired? just the spring, or more serious?
I need to repair the forward/reverse selector.
Thanks in advance,
Roger
The Yankee brand belongs to Stanley.
I wrote Stanley Tools several years ago and they sent me some information re what parts they could supply but said they did not offer repair service. I couldn't figure out how to repair the thing.
On a happier note, about one week ago today, at a local garage sale, an older man was selling off his father-in-laws tools. Among them was the Mid size Yankee screwdriver. It was slightly dirty and I didn't recognize exactly what shape it was. I bought it anyhow, took it home, scrubbed it off with a toothbrush and WD-40, then oiled it. Worked perfectly. The more I examine it the more I think it was hardly used at all.
Can you believe this: I paid a dollar for it.
William
