My Milwaukee 12″ compound mitre saw is stuck in the last bevel cut position that I used. I have pulled the bevel release lever fully upward but there is no give. This is the bevel angle not the mitre angle that is stuck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The problem's obviously interior. Other than olding your mouth differently, take a rubber mallet & beat on the lever housing a might, pull the lever up, apply wd40 assiduously and work the lever until it moves easily.
Short that, yell at it.
