I found a wood at Hearne Hardwoods they call Minirichie or Austrailian Desert Acacia. It was dark like rosewood, but curly like the curliest Koa I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, I need a piece 1″ X 1″ 32″ long and the longest they had was 24″. Does anyone have any idea of some one else who might have this?

Hi Quickstep,
I think you'll be pushing.
A straight length of timber from a desert tree is virtually hard to get.
Try a google search on desert acacia and look at the images.
It's basically hand-gathered for turners and other craft uses.
Good luck,
Cheers,
eddie
