On an episode of A Craftsman’s Legacy that featured a furniture maker, he had a small handheld belt sander, looked like the platten was 3″ x 4″ but hard to tell. He used it to smooth the edges of very curved bent laminations. I do a lot of bent laminations and this looked like an interesting way to approach the edges where the bend is not a simple curve. Any idea if this is still being made and if so where I can buy it? It had a connection to dust collection.

I have seen those in the past, though I'm not sure anyone makes them anymore.
Micro mark does make a small model but it may be too small for you.

Might this do the trick?

How cute!!
I just bought a Trition mini belt sander. Pretty nice tool, lightweight.
