Mini Drill Bit Chuck Adaptor for Drill Press
I want to use my full sized Delta drill press to drill precise mini (0.3mm) pilot holes for escutcheon pins through very small (1/4 inch square) walnut strips that will be used for display cabinet glass stop strips. Most of the drill chuck adaptor reviews I see on-line reference sloppy off center results due to poor machining of the auxiliary chucks, or other quality control issues. Does anyone have experience with a mini bit capable chuck adaptor that offers accuracy?

I harvested the chuck from my old craftsman 12v drill motor when the batteries no longer held a charge. The smallest drill bit I have tried is 0.60 mm which is the smallest bit I have. I believe it could be dialed in for smaller diameter bits.
Thanks for the creative idea. Not sure I can find similar, but who knows...
Pat.
FYI, I often see out of date battery drill motors at thrift stores in the 5 to 8 dollar range.
