I built a small table and chairs out of Maple. To help reduce blotching, I used Minwax Per-Stain Conditioned on the table top. Then stained (within the recommended 2 hour time frame) with Minwax Special Walnut and it looks good. Started to use the same process on the table legs and apron assembly but got called into work and ended up leaving the Per-Stain Conditioned drying for more than 10 hours. Needless to say, trying to apply stain now is like trying to stain a piece of glass. Short of sanding, I'm afraid I'd never be able to get into the small corners and joints where the legs meet the apron, is there any way to darken the legs and apron to match the top.
Thanks,
Lee
