I am looking for a miter gauge for a BS. I am not sure if Iturra or some other source is best (my Iturra catalog has gone missing). I am not keen on anything over-engineered- but rather simple, rugged, accurate with a minimum of slop would be best for my purpose. Any suggestions would be apprecited,

Glaucon: I moved my Woodhaven miter gauge to the bandsaw when I bought a JessEm for the tablesaw. The Woodhaven seemed to me to be tight, square and well made, reasonably priced and fairly simple.

Thanks Duke, looks well made. I'd also be curious if anyone has experience with the new Incra V27...Glaucon

The V27 is what I got for my MM16 (the one that comes with it is a real POS). I really like it. I haven't bothered checking it any more but initially I double checked any angle settings against machinists angled setup blocks just to see how accurate it was. Every time I checked it was right on the money. I think a head unit like that is probably all you'd want for BS use. I would think anything with a built on rail would get in the way a lot of the time. A head unit lets you make a few aux fences for various tasks and attach them as needed. If you build it he will come.
Thanks... I'm kind of thinking that it might be enough for my needs,Glaucon
