Just make a square push block that rides against the fence. You can make it angle adjustable if you need to.
I've been woodworking 25+ years and never missed a miter slot on the router table. Coping sled solves some tasks, square push piece behind the wood solves the rest. If you really need a miter gauge you can make a seperate piece with a routed miter channel and clamp that on top of the table. Or clamp two pieces with a miter bar distance between them.
