Just put on a new blade but it did this before as well…why does it jump at the start, loud jolt & then all is normal, ever time? My 10″ dewalt is fine , never does this. Thought it was the extension cord but did it same way when plugged directly into outlet??

Does it cut well? Any issues with cut quality? Any issues when the blade spins down?
Cuts fine, no issues at all with the cuts, I do a lot of precise base install & hate when I have to do anything over 3.5 because then I have to use this saw.
Probably just a lot more mass in the blade to get spinning on a saw they tried to keep lightweight enough to haul around. Clamp or screw it down, it will feel safer.
It doesn't really jump as in move around, I keep it clamped..it's more of a loud jarring sound at startup & you feel a jump/ jolt in the handle?
Pull the trigger with the saw all the way at the top stop, sounds like the nature of the beast. If the cuts are good it's something to get used to.
